DTLA Plaintiff Personal Injury Paralegal

A plaintiff personal injury law firm is seeking an experienced Plaintiff Personal Injury Paralegal to join its Downtown Los Angeles office. The ideal Plaintiff Personal Injury Paralegal candidate will have at least 3 years of plaintiff-side personal injury experience and be proficient in drafting litigation documents, handling discovery, calendaring deadlines, and assisting with trial preparation. Experience with California state and federal court procedures and e-filing is required. This is an excellent opportunity to support a nationally recognized personal injury practice known for its high-profile cases and commitment to client advocacy. Plaintiff Personal Injury Paralegal Responsibilities Include:

  • Draft a variety of motions and oppositions, mediation briefs, propound/respond to discovery, request for entry of default/default prove-up, minor's compromise, and prepare correspondence at the attorney's request.
  • Client contact including phone calls and office visits.
  • Calendar all hearings, motions, discovery, and trial deadlines
  • Assist in all trial preparations, including retain experts, schedule expert depositions, assemble trial notebooks, exhibits, witness lists, jury instructions, prepare and serve trial subpoenas.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of Plaintiff Personal Injury experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiar with CA court rules and civil procedures for state and federal court.
  • E-filing in state and federal court
  • Ability to prioritize, organize, and manage case load
  • Detail-oriented and able to multi-task.
  • High degree of professionalism.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and meet deadlines.
  • Spanish / English bilingual a plus.
  • Paralegal or Notary certification a plus.
